Noboo Kawaguchi

Noboo Kawaguchi was born in Osaka Japan and is a graduate of both the
Nakanoshima Art School and the Visual Design Department of the Tokyo Designer
Gakuin College, and received a Certificate of Fine Arts from Parsons The New School
for Design.

Noboo went on to have a successful career as a graphic designer and art
director in Tokyo, Japan. Along with other major companies, she has contributed to
ad campaigns for Toyota, Coca-cola, Japan Professional Football League, Kanebo
Cosmetics and Pola Cosmetics. She assisted in the design of posters, prints, and
magazines ads for numerous companies.

Obviously suffocated by the corporate restrictions to her artwork, Noboo left
Tokyo to pursue her full time art career in New York City. As a full time artist, Noboo
has developed a unique style which combines the skills of her past with the freedom
to create artwork with vivid colors and unique images that address the whole spectrum
of human emotion. Although her artwork takes many forms; she specializes in Paper
Based Prints.

Noboo does not put a specific label on her style of artwork; rather, she prefers
to focus on the emotional aspect of her art. Her goal is to have each piece display
a unique mixture of intense passion and sensation. Noboo attempts to capture the
human character in all its levels of intensity and absurdities.
