Noboo Kawaguchi
Noboo Kawaguchi was born in Osaka Japan. Noboo is a graduate of the both the Nakanoshima Art School and the Visual Design Department of Tokyo Designer Gakuin College and received a Fine Arts and Foundation Certificate from Parsons The New School for Design.
Noboo went on to have a successful career as a graphic designer and an art director Tokyo, Japan. Along with other major companies, she has contributed to ad campaigns for Toyota, Coca-cola, and Kanebo Cosmetics. She assisted in the design of posters, billboards, newspapers and
Obviously suffocated by the corporate restrictions to her artwork, Noboo left Tokyo to pursue her full time art career in New York City. As full time artist, Noboo has developed a unique style which combines the skills of her past with freedom to create artwork and unique images that address all level of human emotion. Although her artwork takes many forms; she specializes in silkscreen prints, mixed media collage, and embroidery.
Noboo does not put a specific label on her style of artwork; rather, she prefers to focus on the emotional aspect of her art. Her goal is to have each piece display a unique mixture of intense passion and sensations. Noboo attempts to capture the human character in all its levels of intensity and absurdities.
